Road bike rental in Port de Pollença: finding your fit

The question we hear most often at Venga is about size. “Do you have a bike that will fit me?”

It is a good place to start. You might spend several hours a day on your rental bike, so getting comfortable matters. Choosing a model is part of that, but so is taking the time to prepare it properly before you arrive.

Here is how we approach it at our bike rental shop in Port de Pollença.

Start with the bike you ride at home

If you have a bike fit report, send it to us before your trip. We can use your measurements as a reference to set up your rental bike as closely as the frame and components allow.

Different bikes do not always allow an identical position, but having your measurements gives us a much better starting point.

You can also bring your own saddle, pedals or bike computer mount, and we can fit them for you. Familiar contact points can make a difference when you are spending a few days away from your usual bike.

If you prefer to travel light, you can choose accessories from our stock.

Giant TCR or Giant Propel?

This is where the conversation gets a little more personal. What do you enjoy riding, and what do you want from your time in Mallorca?

The Giant TCR is our usual recommendation for riders looking for comfort and a balanced rental price. If you want a good road bike for your holiday without spending more than you need to, this is where we would start.

The Giant Propel is for those who want a little of that Tour de France feeling. If choosing the bike is part of the excitement of your trip, we understand that too. Sometimes you want to ride something that makes you look forward to putting your shoes on in the morning.

Tell us what you normally ride and what you have planned. We will help you choose the model and size that make sense for you.

Pedals, computer mounts and helmets

A few small details are worth arranging before you arrive.

We provide Garmin, Wahoo and Giant bike computer mounts free of charge. Let us know which computer you use so we can prepare the right one.

Pedal rental costs €10. You are also welcome to bring your own pedals, which we can install for you.

Helmets are available too. You can add one to your basket when booking on our website or arrange one at the shop.

If you are bringing your own saddle or accessories, mention that with your reservation. It helps us have everything ready for the handover.

What comes with your rental bike?

Every rental bike comes with:

• A saddle bag containing a spare inner tube and tyre levers
• A pump

Bike lights are available to buy in the shop if you need them.

We prepare each bike carefully before collection. Sending your fit measurements and accessory preferences in advance gives us time to take care of the details before you get here.
