Femenia, Repsol & Caimari
The classic training loop of the north.
Coll de Femenia at a steady gradient, the Repsol descent, then Caimari and the run home through orange groves. Long enough to matter, gentle enough to ride two days in a row. This is where local riders build their base.
What to expect
This loop introduces the mountains without the length of the big days. From Pollença the road climbs the Coll de Femenia into the Serra de Tramuntana, continues towards the monastery of Lluc and then descends through the hairpins towards Caimari, before you roll back across the plain to Port de Pollença.
The climbs
Femenia is a steady, well-surfaced climb with a consistent gradient — ideal for finding your rhythm. The descent towards Caimari is one of the best on the island: smooth, flowing and with good visibility through the bends. Ridden the other way round, the climb from Caimari is a favourite test piece for local riders.
Good to know
There is little shade on the way up Femenia, so carry two bottles in warm weather. Lluc is the natural place to refill and to stop for a break before the descent.
Best for
A first taste of the Tramuntana, mid-week training days.
